Creative + Brand Operations

Currently in-house at Starfish as the GM of Operations. Starfish is a nonprofit hybrid social enterprise, built by artist-entrepreneurs of color, that is committed to investing in and elevating underrepresented artist-entrepreneurs, enabling them to transform their impactful ideas into career-defining ventures.

I specialize in creative and brand operations within startups, studios, agencies, and non-profits. This work includes direction and strategy, developing and implementing systems and processes, vetting and onboarding new platforms, and building the team to make it all work. My superpower is my ability to translate among diverse stakeholders.

Recent Projects & Background—
I partnered with Daily Harvest as a consulting senior director of creative and brand operations. I kicked off our work together with a comprehensive audit of existing ops and based on those learnings, we redefined their creative team structures, overhauled briefing and approval processes, tackled the eternal challenge of forecasting, and placed the right people into the right roles.

I advised Social Works on their hiring and onboarding practices as they made their first full-time hires. I consulted on other organizational development goals and general studio operations, too.

I contracted with BEST as the thought partner to their Creative Director/Founder. This work included building out Monday.com project workflows and onboarding their fully dispersed team, refining their pitching and proposal strategies, and streamlining their day-to-day operations.

Prior to my independent work, I was an early hire at Buffy (lucky #7), where I spent three years planning and managing the execution of high-level company initiatives including go-to-market for new products, partnerships, and special projects. Functionally, I was also the acting Chief of Staff, providing strategic insights and advising the executive team on business-level OKRs, communications, and people operations, including spearheading our DEI initiative. In my earlier roles at Buffy, I scaled the creative team from three to 13 people, and then directed all of their projects.

Before all that, I freelanced with Human NYC, where I launched two online editorials and helped run a summer camp weekend for creatives. And in the early days of my career, I worked in the startup and agency spaces, holding roles in marketing and operations, eventually finding my niche in creative operations and org development.
